Our Kashishibog Lake Center Channel outpost sits in a picturesque pocket of mature trees and mixed bush. The camp is situated just 15 feet from the sandy beach and faces west. The recently renovated large deck is a favorite spot for relaxing and the generous front windows offer plenty of opportunity to spot wildlife. This outpost is well suited for 4-10 people. A minimum booking of 4 people is required for this cabin. In 2010 we installed a solar system for the lights, built a new dock last year and upgraded the phone system.
The lake is 8000 acres of dark stained water and features a highly structured environment. Guests can fish a different area each day and will find walleye, northern pike, whitefish and lake trout in generous numbers. You may fish for years on this lake without exploring all of it. Walleyes measuring in the upper 20″ range are common with the largest in 2005 coming in at 32 inches and 31 inches in 2006! Several northerns were caught measuring into the 40″ range last season. When water levels permit, Savage Lake may be reached via a boat portage. Boating equipment at this camp includes 4-14 foot Lund boats with 9.9 hp Yamaha motors.
