Elson and Kim Strickland welcome you to this snapshot of Due North Outpost Camps. We look forward to hosting your trip in 2020!
Due North Outpost Camps operates remote fly-in trophy fishing and hunting outposts in the heart of the boreal forest in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Climb aboard the legendary DeHavilland Beaver or Turbo Otter at our McKenzie Lake base in Armstrong and “flyin” to a remote lake that is all your own. Between mid- May and mid- September, enjoy unparalleled walleye and northern pike fishing on our private northwestern Ontario lakes. Trophy walleye and trophy northern pike await you in the unpolluted waters of the Canadian Shield. Our long-standing conservation fishing policy means that the “big one” is still there for you. Guests who are successful in landing a trophy northern or walleye are recognized as “Master Anglers”. It’s a long list, but there’s always room to add your name, too!
When your arms and shoulders ache with exhaustion from spending the day reeling in the big ones, relax and enjoy a cold beverage in one of our modern and fully outfitted outpost camps. Our camps are regularly maintained and are well-equipped with every amenity to offer you a worry-free stay. Our outposts can only be accessed by float plane and are designed to give the serious outdoorsman every opportunity to fully enjoy remote fishing and hunting the way it was meant to be!
On the other hand, our trips offer more than just fishing! Take the time to get away from the pressure of daily life at one of our comfortable outposts. Experience the raw beauty of the Canadian wilderness north of civilization, free from cell phones, schedules and rush hour traffic. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee from the deck as wisps of fog rise from the glassy lake. The only sound is a loon call in the distance. Explore the shoreline, hike an island, swim and sunbathe. Watch for bald eagles, moose, bear, otters, beavers and more. At the end of the day, watch the kaleidoscope of color as the sun sets then settle in for a quiet campfire.
Our facilities are easily found and conveniently located on McKenzie Lake, in the northwestern Ontario town of Armstrong. A three and half hour drive from the Pigeon River border crossing will find you at our main base ready for your fly-in fishing adventure. The scenic flight will have you battling walleye and northern pike before you know it.
The boreal wilderness surrounding our northern outposts beckons you… what are you waiting for?
